Who Are The Richest People in the World?

(ThePennyWatcher.com) – Wouldn’t it be great to be on this list! The stories of some of these people are amazing, giving many inspiration and drive to pursue their dreams as entrepreneur’s and change not only their lives but the world.

We took a look at some of the big guns.

Jeff Bezos:

Everyone knows his name. He created Amazon back in 1998 when he started selling books and has grown the company into the largest online retailer in the entire world. If you want to buy something, you can get it on Amazon.

You can even buy groceries now, it’s crazy.

Bezos owns a large portion of Amazon, and is a multi billionaire.
A fun fact about Amazon is that around 60% of the sales comes from indepenedent sellers who simply sign up for $40/month and then can in turn list products to sell on Amazon.

This channel along has made many millions, while some just do it as a side hustle.
Amazon has basically taken over the world.

Elon Musk:

Elon is probably the most influential person of our time. His electric car c ompany Tesla has completely changed the market, and is setting the standard for non gas powered vehicles going forward.

He is a genius, no doubt. But he doesn’t jsut own a car company. At the same time he is doing that he also runs SpaceX which aims to revolutionize spave travel. His ultimate goal is to colonize Mars with humans.

His third company is NeuroLink which will transform our digital way of interpreting information in our brains. This company will actually provide chips to be inserted into our brains, so we can communicate with one another.

His latest purchase was that of Twitter, which he re-named “X” and is now attempting to transform the way we look at free speech in the United States.

Bill Gates:

Bill Gates is best know for being the rich nerd who founded Microsoft. He is now focused on many social and environmental issues as a self prescribed philanthropist.

You will see Bill involved in politics more and more these days.

Mark Zuckerberg:

Mark Zuckerberg, the visionary co-founder and CEO of Facebook, revolutionized social media, forever changing the landscape of how people connect and communicate. The movie “The Social Network” depicts his rise to fame very well, so find it on Netflix and give it a watch if you haven’t seen it yet.

He doesn’t just have Facebook, but also Instagram and WhatsApp under his wing.
He is currently forging the path for virtual reality, and he has re-branded the owning company to be called “Meta”.

Did I mention he is also a billionaire!

Warren Buffett:

Warren Buffett is a name we all recognize as sounding “rich”.  He started a long time ago accumulating his wealth mainly through the company Berkshire Hathaway which covers a wide real estate portfolio among other things.

Warren always took an interest in investing. Apparently he first started investing when he was only 11 years old!

Mr. Buffet has stuck to a long term investing strategy, where he teaches not to get worried about short term opportunities. He talks alot about compounding interest over time, which is the best way to accumulate wealth of done right.

Not too long ago Buffet made a commitment to philanthropy and allocating a large amount of hus incredible wealth to a variety of charitable causes.

Larry Ellison:

Larry Ellison co-founded Oracle Corporation, a technology company specializing in database software and cloud services. Under Ellison’s leadership, Oracle has become a global leader in enterprise software solutions, contributing to his substantial wealth.

He now spends his days getting flown around on his private jet from his multiple residences including the bahamas where he attends meetings, and then more meetings.

The jet part seems cool!

Larry Page:

This guy founded Google! He among others developed the worlds most visited website, and then also acquired YouTube among other technologies.

Google runs the world, does it not? Crazy when you think about it. Similar to the richest personalities and their global influence, Google has become center stage when it comes to elections, and how overall information is distributed.

Where are the biases? Who is running these decisions?

Not surprisingly, Page is also a philanthropist. He has donated billions of dollars to various causes, including education and medical research. As Artificial Intelligence emerges, Page is a big proponent if the advances here, and has a seat at the table when discussing the latest version.

Put simply, Mr. page is one of the brightest internet minds we have known in our lifetime.
