You can break these down into 3 easy steps.
1. Plan and Prioritize
Whether you are a morning person or not, you need to setup some sort pf plan that will put you on the right path for the day, and it starts with a solid morning.
Set aside 5-10 minutes each morning to creating a schedule for the day. Make actual notes of the top 3 things you want to accomplish and cross them off as you go.
It’s ok to say no. Don’t overload your schedule with tasks. Politely decline requests that don’t align with your priorities. You can get to them at a later time.
2. Break Down the Tasks
If you are feeling overwhelmed, make sure to break it down into smaller, more manageable steps.
Seeing progress through smaller chunks motivates you to keep going.
As we said, time is money, so make sure to allocate specific times for each task and stick to them.
Some people use The Pomodoro Technique which uses 25-minute work sprints. These are quick and simple tasks that can be knocked out quickly, and they build upon each other throughout the day.
3. Minimize Distractions
Turn off or ignore your smart phone. This day and age has gotten out of control with screen time, and constant pings and messages will only derail your attention. T
No instagram or Facebook for a set time. You will have time to look at it later.
Choose a quiet space with minimal clutter to work. It helps ease the mind if there are less physical things around you. No TV.
Reward yourself! Give yourself a break when you accomplish certain tasks.
Consistency is key.
Once you get into the rhythm of these daily tasks, your days will be much more fulfilling and you won’t feel like your just “winging it”
