3 Unique Travel Sites You Probably Don’t Use

(ThePennyWatcher.com) – Other than the most popular travel sites we are all familiar with, there are some others that have caught the eye of consumers as the offer unique ways to capture lodging and experiences.

We had our team put together some of these alternative websites to see how much value people were getting out of them. From car deals, to hotels. etc
And of course where we could save some cash along the way.

Let’s take a look.

Hotels Combined:
You may not have heard of Hotels Combined, but it is out there. It claims to search hundreds of various booking sites so you can choose the best possible rate. They claim to have similar advantages of all of the other sites. Hotel offers, last minuet deals, all that stuff.

They do have a price guarantee feature, which they claim will match any other price on the market.

Seems like all the same promises, so go look for yourself and see what they can do.

Rental Cars:
You guessed it, they specialize in renting cars! They compare rates from all of the most popular rental car agencies, and claim to offer special packages and discounts. They allow you to customize your specific package based on your trip. Economy or luxurious for example
They go as far as adding in airport pickup services as well. Nothing tremendously new here, but always worth looking into to see where you can get a better deal.

Skyscanner:

Skyscanner proposes to be a one stop shop when it comes down to it. They not only provide the ability to search flights, but also hotels and even rental cars.
They have some solid features that allow you to setup price alerts, and even a section that provides you with some inspiration for new travel destinations.
Skyscanner also takes a variety of currencies which can be of help when traveling abroad.

It’s free like many others.
Our advice is to use all of the tools available. From Priceline to Expedia, to many of these lesser known sites that can get you a deal.

Even looking for flights or Hotels on “Google” can save you some money if you do it right. Remember to try more than one email as “incognito” as sometimes previous used emails will show the same rates that may be higher.

Be creative when looking.
